I have practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for about 9 years. Prior to this I worked for a private non-profit children's center where my clients were children and families. In addition, I worked with the county mental health department providing counseling for county employees and workshops or articles on varied Mental Health related topics. I have also enjoyed working with a family life team at my church for a number of years.
Currently in my practice I enjoy a clientele who is varied in age, culture, spiritual practice and belief and sexual orientation. I have often worked with individuals and couples who struggle with relational and boundary problems, with trauma, PTSD, and complex grief as well as depression, anxiety and spiritual growth. I enjoy working with anyone who is seeking greater health and balance for their lives.
I truly appreciate the time the Gottmans have taken in research and then developing from that research such a wonderful comprehensive couples therapy. It fits well into my own eclectic practice style in which I use a combination of psychodynamic, family systems and cognitive perceptual reconstruction in my work with clients.
